Manchester Football Team Playing, Walking For The Cure
Breast cancer awareness event at football game will include mammograms.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Think pink, and play pink. Or in pink, anyway.
That's what the Manchester Township High School football team will be doing next Friday night when the Hawks host Shore Conference Class B South rival Point Pleasant Boro. The Play for the Cure game kicks off at 7 p.m.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and both the Hawks and the visiting Panthers will be wearing pink.

Manchester's cheerleaders will don pink, as will the Manchester Marching Hawks marching band, for the evening to signal their efforts in joining the fight against breast cancer.
The AMI Foundation of Atlantic Imaging will be available with information on breast cancer and the importance of early detection. They will also have their mobile digital mammography van on site from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. To make an appointment call 609-677-XRAY (9729). Most insurance plans are accepted and AMI Foundation has funds available to provide a limited number of free mammograms to qualified uninsured applicants.
