Manchester High Sax Quartet Honored At State Teen Arts Festival
The group, which has been rehearsing weekly since December, received the highest ratings possible, the district said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township High School saxophone quartet received top honors last week during the New Jersey Teen Arts Festival last week, the district announced.
The quartet — freshmen Charles Oduro, Victoria Unger, and Nick Isphording, and sophomore Frank Walker — earned Advanced and Distinguished ratings, the highest possible ratings for any ensemble, at the festival at Ocean County College held May 30 to June 1.
MTHS Band Director Sarah Culp said the four formed a chamber ensemble in December and have been rehearsing weekly. In March, they were chosen out of 10 small ensembles at the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival to perform at the state level. The quartet also had the opportunity to perform at the County Teacher of the Year Breakfast earlier this year, the district said.
