Manchester HS Seniors Duel Police, Principals, Mayor Tonight In 'Anything Goes'

The obstacle course competition based on a 1970s game show raises money for the Manchester Township Municipal Alliance, which battles drugs.

MANCHESTER, NJ -- Come out to Manchester Township High School tonight, Friday, March 11, to watch Manchester high school seniors battle teachers, police and other community leaders in an obstacle course competition.

“Anything Goes,” the competition based on a 1970s game show were celebrity teams dueled over obstacle courses, will be held at 7 p.m. at Manchester Township High School. Doors to the gym open at 6:30 p.m., according to the Manchester Township Municipal Alliance, which will received the proceeds of the event.

The alliance works to fight drug issues in the community, particularly with the goal of preventing the town's youth from becoming involved in drug use.

The team of high school seniors will be battling a team of township teachers and community officials which is expected to include Mayor Ken Palmer, Township Business Administrator Donna Markulic, Superintendent David Trethaway, Officer Chris Cerullo, Safety Officer Steve Maloney, Principal Dennis Adams, Principal Linda Waldron, Principal Evelyn Swift, Director of Curriculum Diane Pedroza, "and the one and only Dee Dee Williams," according to the alliance.

Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for students and children and spectators are encouraged to wear colors to support their favorite teams -- gold/yellow for the high school seniors, blue for the community leaders.
