Manchester Institutes Water Use Restrictions

The restrictions affect the Eastern Service Area and take effect Monday.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Water use restrictions for the Eastern Service Area of Manchester Township take effect Monday, township officials said.

The water restrictions ban all watering between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Watering is permitted for a maximum of 30 minutes with odd-numbered addresses watering on odd-numbered days and even-numbered addresses on even-numbered days.

Private wells are exempt from the watering restrictions but you must have a sign denoting the well. Newly seeded or sodded lawns are exempt for 30 days as long as you have a sign indicating the new seed/new sod.
