Manchester Junior ROTC Takes Part Memorial Day Parade Of Wreaths Ceremony
The Junior ROTC program partners with the Joint Base for a number of programs for students interested in the military.
JOINT BASE McGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ — The Manchester Township Schools Junior ROTC group joined service members at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst last Thursday for the Parade of Wreaths.
The ceremony on the base honors service members and police personnel who have given their lives in the line of duty.
The base and the Thomas B. McGuire Jr. Foundation conducted the first of what became the Parade of Wreaths in 1983, and have held it annually since, to commemorate Memorial Day. (U.S. Air Force photo-illustration by Tech. Sgt. Austin Knox) per https://www.jbmdl.jb.mil/.

"We continue to be grateful for the partnership that the Manchester Township School District has with the neighboring JBMDL and the opportunities it provides our students to participate in these events and ceremonies," Manchester district officials said.
