Manchester Kicks Off Fourth Of July With Fireworks And A Concert Saturday

Manchester is starting the Fourth of July holiday a little earlier this year with a free celebration scheduled for Saturday at Harry Wright Lake in Whiting.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. and will run until the fireworks display is finished sometime after 9 p.m. according to the township Recreation Department.

Rave On will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., followed by Emil Stucchio and the Classics at 7:30 p.m.

Items will be available from food vendors and nonprofit organizations. WOBM will hold contests and giveaways. Children's rides are also scheduled.

Visitors are urged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. No alcohol is permitted. No dogs are permitted, with the exception of therapy dogs.

Parking is free.
