Manchester, Lakehurst Police Planning National Night Out

The two police departments are collaborating on the community event. Vendors, presenters and donations are being welcomed now.

LAKEHURST, NJ — The Lakehurst and Manchester police departments are collaborating on a joint event for National Night Out.

The annual event, part of the National Night Out Against crime that started in the 1980s, is an opportunity for police departments to connect with their communities.

Lakehurst and Manchester are planning the event for 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Aug. 2 at Lake Horicon in Lakehurst.

Admission is free, and there will be free food and drinks, prizes, live music, backyard games, a K-9 demonstration and more.

The police departments are welcoming vendors, donations and presenters for the event. Those interested in participating should contact Lakehurst Detective Madelyn Poss by email at mposs@lakehurstpolice.org.
