Manchester Little League Holding Signups

Spring training is just days away but there is still time to sign your children up for tee-ball, baseball and softball.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The warmer days may have you thinking about baseball season. If you're looking to sign your child for baseball or softball, now is the time.

The Manchester Township Little League will accept in-person on Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

Boys and girls ages 4-16 who live in Manchester, Lakehurst, Whiting, and Lakewood, are eligible. Children who turn 4 by Aug. 31, 2022, can begin playing Little League this spring.

Those who are 16 or younger by Aug. 31, 2022, are eligible.

League age determines division of play and is based on how old a child will be on Aug. 31, 2022.

  • Tee Ball - Players who are league age 4-6 (5 or 6 with 1-year experience can choose Coach Pitch)
  • Coach Pitch - Players who are league age 5-8 (7 or 8 with Coach Pitch experience can choose Minors)
  • Minors - Players who are league age 7-11 (an advanced 9 may request to try out for Majors)
  • Majors - Players who are league age 9-12 (9s by request)
  • Juniors - Players who are league age 13-14
  • Seniors - Players who are league age 15-16

All registrants are placed on a team but Minor, Major, Junior, and Senior Division Players, must try out since a draft system determines team placement. Players will be notified in late February as to the date and time of their tryout. Tryouts are tentatively scheduled for March 5 and 6, 2022. If you register for Tee-Ball Cor oach Pitch, you do not try out and will be notified of team assignment by March 6, 2022.

In-person payments can be made on Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Online registration is available here.

Registration Fees: The fees are comprised of 3 components: 1. a per player registration fee ($125 for Tee-ball; $150 all others); 2. a $75 purchase of 3 - $25 pick 3 fundraiser tickets; (keep or sell your tickets to reduce your fees!) 3. a $100 grounds maintenance fee, applied once per family.

Family discounts will automatically be applied when registering multiple children so that a family pays only one field maintenance fee and at most gets 6 Pick 3 fundraiser tickets. Total fees do not exceed $550 per family, excluding transaction fees and credit card processing fees.

Fees can be paid in installments using a credit card, or in full via credit card, by cash or by check. All cash and check registrants must be paid in full by March 1, 2022. Unpaid registrants in a tryout division may have their registrations canceled.
