Manchester Man Charged In Wells Fargo Bank Robbery: Police
The bank robbery happened within a few blocks of the man's home.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A Manchester Township man was arrested Saturday, accused of robbing a bank not far from his home, police said.
Christopher J. Mallon, 49, of Devonshire Lane, was being held in the Ocean County Jail on charges of robbery and theft in connection with the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2 South Colonial Dr. on Aug. 9, police said.
The bank is just a few blocks from Mallon's home in the Leisure Village West section.

Mallon is accused of walking into the bank about 11 a.m. Friday and giving a teller a note, then leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested without incident at his home, police said.
Police received multiple tips from the public, police said. Assisting with the investigation were members of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, Lakehurst Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Red Bank Office.
