Manchester Mayor: Reports About Town's Finances Inaccurate

Mayor Michael Fressola says reports about the township's credit rating lack context

Manchester Mayor Michael Fressola says in a letter distributed to various media outlets that reports saying the town’s finances are in bad shape are inaccurate.

“This information has been presented without very important contextual details,” Fressola writes. “When this data is presented within the proper context, it becomes clear that Manchester is on a solid financial foundation that continually improves.”

Fressola goes on to say that as of the end of 2013, Manchester’s debt load had decreased to $10.3 million, while its surplus has grown to $3.044 miiion.
