Manchester Middle Schools Make Pennies (And Nickels, And Dimes) Count

Students raised more than $1,300 for cancer organization, school officials said.

The Manchester Middle School Impact club has been busy doing good things for the community, according to a news release from the school district.

Their most recent project was raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The club’s annual Pasta for Pennies fundraiser, where classes throughout the school collect spare change to help the society, raised $1,300. The fundraiser is presented nationally by Olive Garden.

Impact Club adviser Robert Morris says the group has turned its attention to working with the student council to raise money for Manchester Relay for Life.
