Manchester Police & EMT Host "Fill The Ambulance" Food Drive
The township safety departments are asking for canned food and home goods to help the 53,000 food-insecure people in Ocean County.
MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Police Department and the Manchester Division of Emergency Services are hosting their first “Fill the Ambulance Holiday Food Drive,” the departments announced on Facebook.
Through Dec. 21, the departments are asking for food to donate to the Whiting Food Pantry and the Joel E. Perlmutter Memorial Food Pantry, and pet food to donate to local animal shelters. Donations can be dropped off at the Emergency Services Building on 29 S. Colonial Drive.
Acceptable donations include canned meats, fruits, and vegetables; hot and cold cereal; fruit juice; mac & cheese; rice; applesauce, and more.
