Manchester Police Hiring Dispatchers

Public safety telecommunicators, often referred to as dispatchers, are being hired in Manchester. Find out how you can apply.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Police Department is hiring public safety telecommunicators, often referred to as dispatchers, for its emergency services.

The department is hiring both for full-time and per diem positions; experienced dispatchers are preferred.

Per diem work is paid at $20 to $35 per hour, and full-time positions have salaries of $42,000 to $65,000. Pay increases annually on your anniversary hire date. All probationary telecommunicators start at step 1, then move into their first step based on experience.

Certification in OETS approved Basic 911/Basic PST preferred. Experience with Spillman and Emergency Call Works systems preferred. Candidates must be able to work all three shifts (0700-1500; 1500-2300; 2300-0700), weekends, holidays, and forced overtime.
