Manchester Police Urge Vigilance After String Of Burglaries

The burglaries have happened in recent days, police said; lock doors and windows "even when you are home," they said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township police are warning residents to be aware of what's happening around their homes after a string of burglaries in the Leisure Knoll development.

In a Nixle alert Saturday afternoon, police said: "LEISURE KNOLL residents: A rash of burglaries have hit your development in the past several days. Be vigilant!"

Police said residents should keep their doors and windows locked, even if they are home.

"Do not open the door for anyone you are not expecting or do not know," police said. "Keep an eye on your property and your neighbors' and report any unfamiliar vehicles or persons to the police department."
