Manchester School Board: Bermudez Ousted
Unofficial results have Daniel R. Staples winning one seat, and Robert Hudak winning a one-year unexpired term on the Township Council.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Board of Education will have two new members in January, after voters ousted incumbent Jackie Bermudez on Tuesday.
According to unofficial vote tallies from the Ocean County clerk's office, Daniel R. Staples is the top vote-getter, with Gayle Mount, who is a special education teacher in Brick, finishing second. Mount leads Sarita Dodd by 31 votes. Bermudez was fourth, more than 500 votes behind Dodd.
Bermudez, who has been on the school board since 2009, is president of the school board.

In the Township Council race, Robert Hudak defeated Bob Peck by more than 300 votes to win the right to finish Charles Frattini's council term.
