Manchester School Board Honors Geography Bee Champs
The students participated in the program that's organized by National Geographic.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Three Manchester Township Middle School students can tell you the capital of Nepal, which river runs through the Grand Canyon and the name of the mountain range that surrounds Lake Tahoe.
And many, many more geography facts. The three, winners of the Manchester Township Middle School Geography Bee, were honored for their knowledge at a recent Board of Education meeting.
Adrienne Biscardi took first place; Katarina Durham was second and Alexander Peluso was third. Manchester Township Middle School teacher Robert Morris coordinated the contest, officials said.

Morris told the board the Geography Bee is a nationwide contest sponsored by National Geographic. The questions cover numerous topics, Morris said, and each year the questions are very challenging. how challenging the questions are and at the students' ability to answer them correctly.

The contest includes a state competition and a national competition.
(Oh, and the answers to the questions posed above: Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal; the Colorado River runs through the Grand Canyon, and the mountain range that creates Lake Tahoe is the Sierra Nevada mountains.)
