Manchester BOE President Elected to Second Term as State School Board Association Finance VP
Donald Webster Jr. has served in the role since 2010

Manchester's president has been elected to serve another term as the New Jersey School Board Association's Vice President of Finance.
Donald Webster Jr. was selected by NJSBA delegates to another two-year term when the board held its annual organization meeting this past Saturday in West Windsor. Webster, who was as sworn in as Manchester's school board president one year ago, was first elected to his NJSBA post in May of 2010.
"I am proud of and humbled by the confidence that the individual local school district delegates have shown in me to help lead the association through one of the most challenging times in our history," Webster said in an email to Patch. "I feel this position has given me a more universal perspective on the issues facing public education both here in New Jersey and across the country."

In his role at the nonpartisan association, Webster will chair the Finance Committee, "which proposes the organization’s annual budget, and serves on its Audit Committee, which ensures that a system of internal financial controls is in place," said Frank Belluscio, director of communications for the NJSBA in a statement. "He also oversees the association’s financial accounts, issues regular financial reports to theorganization’s delegate assembly, and ensures the completion of the association’s annual audit."
In his NJSBA role, Webster ensures that internal accounting and administrative controls are in place. He also reviews payments and approves monthly financial statements to make sure they are in line with the budget.

The association has a two term limit, meaning Webster's tenure as Vice President of Finance will end in May of 2014.
Webster, who holds an MBA from Rutgers, also serves a member of the association's Executive Management Team and Board of Directors and was the acting chair of the Ethics Committee this past year.
A retired finance manager for the state Department of Human Services, Webster has served on Manchester's school board for 15 years. He and his wife Carol have three children who graduated from the township's school system.
Webster represents the NJSBA at the county, state and national level. In February, Webster traveled to Washington DC for the National School Boards Association’s 39th annual Federal Relations Network Conference to ask for Congressional support of public school students.
The association currently is focusing its attention toward tenure reform, teacher/principal evaluation models and proposed changes to the state school funding formula, Webster said.
For its 2012-14 term, NJSBA delegates also elected John Bulina of Tabernacle as President, Anne Kathleen Erickson of Hamilton as Vice President for County Activities and Rosemary A. Bernardi of Evesham as Vice President for Legislation/Resolutions.
