Manchester Schools Announce Early Dismissals

On Sunday evening, Manchester Township Schools Superintendent David Trethaway told parents and staff to be prepared for an early dismissal today.

This morning, the district followed through on that warning, announcing that schools will be dismissed early today.

The National Weather Service upgraded its forecast for Manchester and Ocean County to a blizzard warning, with predictions of snow beginning early Monday and becoming heavy in the early afternoon, with snowfall totals of 18 to 28 inches possible.

The early dismissal schedule is as follows:

• High School: 11:10
• Middle School: 11:40
• Ridgeway School: 12:20
• Manchester Township Elementary and Whiting Schools: 12:50
• Regional Day School: 12:45
