MANCHESTER, NJ — It may seem like summer just started, but sadly, Labor Day is here and so is the start of the new school year.
Here is the Manchester Township School District calendar for 2019-2020, including back-to-school nights and winter and spring breaks.
Take note: The calendar has 180 scheduled days for students, 184 scheduled days for staff. There are no emergency closure days built into this year's calendar. If additional days are needed, they will be added to the end of the year. The first day of school for students is Thursday, Sept. 5.

- Sept. 5: First day of school for students.
- Sept. 17: Back-to-School Night, Manchester Township High School, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
- Sept. 19: Back-to-School Night, Manchester Township Elementary School, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Sept. 24: Back-to-School Night, Ridgeway School, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Sept. 25: Back-to-School Night, Manchester Township Middle School, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Sept. 26: Back-to-School Night, Whiting School, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Sept. 27: Whiting School preschool closed
- Oct. 3: Back-to-School Night, Regional Day School, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Oct. 7: Midterm notices
- Oct. 11: Homecoming football game at Manchester Township High School
- Oct. 14: Schools closed for students; staff professional development day
- Oct. 24-25: Early dismissal, parent-teacher conferences
- Nov. 4-8: Schools closed, Election Day and NJEA Convention
- Nov. 14: First marking period ends; high school portfolios and report cards issued
- Nov. 21: Kindergarten-8th-grade report cards issued
- Nov. 27: Early dismissal, Thanksgiving
- Nov. 28-29: Schools closed for Thanksgiving
