Manchester Schools Cancel Tuesday Activities Due To Storm

All afterschool events have been canceled due to the incoming storm that forecasters say could bring a foot of snow.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township School District has canceled all afterschool activities for Tuesday, March 20, due to the oncoming winter storm.

Officials made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. It covers all Y-Kids as well as afterschool sports and clubs, along with evening events.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning on Tuesday morning that extends through Wednesday evening. A nor'easter that is expected to hit in two waves is predicted to bring 8 to 12 inches of snow to much of Ocean County, as of noon Tuesday.
