Manchester Schools' Inclement Weather Information

With a snowstorm in the forecast, here's what you need to know about early dismissal, delayed openings and snow days.

MANCHESTER, NJ -- With talk of a potentially significant winter storm headed for the Mid-Atlantic this week, here’s a look at the Manchester Township School District’s snow day provisions and inclement weather procedures:

The Manchester Township schools’ calendar has the last day of school tentatively scheduled for June 14, with no snow days included.

If there is a delayed opening, schools will open 90 minutes late.

Manchester High School opens at 8:40 a.m., with the middle school opening at 9:09 a.m., according to the district website. Ridgeway Elementary opens at 9:50 a.m. with AM Pre-K starting at the same time; afternoon Pre-K begins at 1 p.m. Manchester Township Elementary and Whiting Elementary open at 10:20 a.m. Whiting’s AM Pre-K opens at 10:20 a.m. with afternoon Pre-K starting at 1:30 p.m.

Regional Day School opens at 10:15 a.m.

For inclement weather early dismissals, the high school is released at 11:10 a.m., the middle school at 11:40 p.m., Regional Day at 12:45 a.m., Ridgeway at 12:20 and Manchester Elementary and Whiting at 12:50 p.m.

Inclement weather announcements are made on 94.3 FM/1310 AM The Point, 92.7 WOBM FM 100.1 WJRZ FM, and NJ 101.5 FM, as well as on the district’s website, Facebook page and via Twitter @MTSDnews.
