Manchester Schools Receive High Marks On Finances From Auditor

The district also received its 22nd consecutive certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.

MANCHESTER, NJ — For the 22nd year, the Manchester Township School District has been honored for its financial recordkeeping.

The district also received a clean report on the district's audit for the 2016-17 school year from CPA Dave Gannon of the accounting firm, PKF O'Connor Davies, which conducted the audit.

Gannon reported on the audit at the Nov. 29 Manchester Township Board of Education meeting, saying the district received an "unmodified opinion," which he said is a clean opinion with no material adjustments.

"Your financial records are in very excellent shape," he told the board, and praised the district business department for its professionalism and courtesy throughout the audit process.

Gannon also congratulated the district on receiving the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 22nd consecutive year, saying it shows a high level of transparency in the district's financial reporting.

Business Administrator Craig Lorentzen said the continuous receipt of the award is a great achievement, not only for the board but for all of the staff involved across the district, and thanked the staff for their dedication to the process.
