Manchester Schools' Resource Officer Back To School, Too: Video

In the spirit of the police karaoke videos, Manchester police filmed the school resource officer in an amusing first day of school clip.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The first day of school fills social media with all kinds of smiling faces — and some reluctant ones — of those returning to school. And it's not just the kids.

In Manchester, the police department decided to have a little fun with the return to school for the department's school resource officer, Patrolman Chris Cerullo. Cerullo has been the school resource officer at Manchester Township High School for more than four years.

So Thursday, as classes began for the 2018-19 school year at Manchester's schools, the Manchester police posted a video clip — in the vein of the police karaoke videos that were all over at the beginning of the summer — complete with an Adam Sandler voiceover of his back-to-school poem from "Billy Madison."
