Manchester Schools Seeking Board Of Education Applicants

The school board has a vacancy happening and is looking to fill it for the rest of the school year. It is an unpaid volunteer position.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Board of Education is searching for a qualified candidate to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education, effective immediately.

School board members must be registered voters who have lived in the district for at least a year. They must be able to read and write and cannot hold a contract with or claim against the school district.

School board members are unpaid volunteers.

People who want to be considered for the Board of Education vacancy should send a resume and letter of interest to Mr. Craig Lorentzen, School Business Administrator, at the Board of Education Administrative Offices at 121 Route 539, Whiting, NJ 08759 by July 5.

“The school board plays an important role in local education. They set the policies and goals under which the district operates,” the district's ad for the board position said.

The board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. July 20 at the conference center at Manchester Township Middle School and will consider and choose the new member then.
