MANCHESTER, NJ —The Manchester Township School District has new administrators in some of its schools for the 2022-23 school year.

To introduce them to the community, the district is providing a short biography about the new administrators. First up is Deniese Guinan, the new principal at Ridgeway Elementary School:

"It is with great excitement that I join this community of excellence as the principal of Ridgeway Elementary School!" she said.

"I began my educational career in the Manchester Township School District and taught within the district for 13 years. In 2015, I took the opportunity to further my career experience by taking a position as an early childhood/elementary supervisor at the George J. Mitchell Elementary School in Little Egg Harbor. I was then hired as the principal of the same elementary school.

"I am proud to bring that supervisory and principal experience back to Manchester Schools as the principal of Ridgeway Elementary School. It is such a special honor when an educator can return to the school district where she began and give back to a community that fostered her passion for education. Luckily, I have that opportunity now," she said.

Guinan lives in Toms River with her husband, David, and sons Andrew, 14, and Alex, 10, who are students in the Toms River Regional schools.

"Andrew is in middle school and an excellent runner and biker. Alex is in elementary school and he loves to play soccer," Guinan said. "Together, we enjoy the beach, watching/playing sports, and spending time with family and friends."

"My entire family understands the importance of a good education and educational community. Our family has a deeply rooted history in Ridgeway School as teachers and even a custodian," she said. "We enjoy opportunities to give back to our community and learn new things. It is an honor and privilege for me to be able to do so as your Ridgeway Elementary School principal."

"I am looking forward to a wonderful year and working closely with the Manchester community to help our students excel," Guinan said.
