Manchester Students Collect 175 Baskets For Needy

The baskets were delivered for Thanksgiving

Thanks to the efforts of the Manchester Township High School Peer Leadership Program, 175 local families in need were provided with Thanksgiving food baskets.

The Helping Hands for Hunger project at Manchester Township High School received donations from school clubs and teams from throughout the district helped out with donations, along with local businesses, organizations and individuals.

District staff members, senior residents from the high school Intergenerational Committee, students, and other volunteers packed the identical baskets a few days before Thanksgiving in the school’s auxiliary gym.

Peer Leaders and their teacher, Mrs. Sarah Thiffault, would like to thank everyone who helped make Helping Hands for Hunger a success once again this year, according to a news release from the district.
