Dear Staff, Parents, and Students,
As we move towards the beginning of the fourth marking period, we will be transitioning to a five day in-person instruction in all of our schools beginning Monday, April 26. We have experienced success with our other transitions due to the cooperation and flexibility of our parents and students and the professionalism of our staff. We are now looking forward to having a ‘traditional’ five day in-person instruction beginning April 26 and continuing for the rest of the school year. The length of the school day will remain the same in each of our schools and the lunch schedule will also remain the same. Due to the unique circumstances, including safety and transportation issues, Kindergarten and Preschool will remain on the current half day schedule. Also any student currently assigned to a five day schedule will remain on that schedule.

Parents and students will still have the option of remote only instruction however we will be eliminating the hybrid option of two days a week of in-person instruction.
At this time, if a student is currently on a four day schedule or a hybrid schedule they will automatically be assigned to a five day schedule unless the parent chooses the option of the remote only schedule.
Students who currently are on a remote-only schedule will remain on this schedule unless the parent chooses the five day in-person schedule.
All parents should carefully review the current schedule and the proposed changes. If a parent is satisfied with the new assigned schedule, nothing needs to be done. However, if a parent would rather choose a schedule that differs from the newly assigned schedule, they need to access the parent portal and complete the required change form no later than Wednesday April 21, 2021. There will be a help sheet included on the district webpage and as an attachment to this email.
Reminder: if you are satisfied with the change in the schedule, you do not have to do anything.
Transportation changes will be made if needed.
All changes will remain in effect for the remainder of the school year.
If you have any questions, please contact your building administrator.
Again, I would like to emphasize that students who are on a five day schedule must report to school or be marked absent. Unless there are extenuating circumstances approved by the building administrator, students cannot opt to go remote on a specific day.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff, parents and students for their efforts and sacrifices that you all have made with the previous changes throughout the year.
