Manchester Township Schools Holding Preschool Lottery

The lottery will choose 10 general education students for the full-day inclusion preschool program. You must apply by noon Thursday.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township School District will hold its annual preschool lottery on Thursday.

The lottery is for general education students to take part in the district's full-day integrated preschool program. The program is designed to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to be included with non-disabled peers.

There are 10 slots available for general education students; the children must be age 4 on or before Oct. 1, 2022 and must be bathroom-trained to qualify. Students will be chosen via the lottery on Thursday.

The full-day program will begin in September 2022. Program location and times will be determined at a later date. Tuition for the year-long program is $6,500.

The deadline to apply is noon Thursday. Fill out the application form and drop it off at the Board of Education Office, 121 Route 539, Whiting, NJ 08759. If you are using the paper application, please contact 732-350-5900 to schedule a drop-off time.

If your child is chosen, you will need to provide your child's state-issued birth certificate and two proofs of residency, as follows:

Group 1 – Copy of Township tax bill, deed, lease or builder's contract. (If living with a resident, a signed, notarized letter from that resident stating you and your child(ren) live at the address accompanied by one of the group 1 items.)

Group 2 – Copy of current utility bill or home insurance statement or driver's license with correct address on it (or change of address sticker)
