Manchester Woman Hurt In Motorcycle Crash

Debra Fischer was thrown from the motorcycle when it failed to negotiate a curve, police said.

A Manchester woman was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after she lost control of the motorcycle she was driving on Pasadena Road, police said.

Debra Fischer, 54, of Manchester, suffered significant injuries to her neck and shoulder when she was thrown from the motorcycle about 1:30 p.m., Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.

Malland said police who responded to the accident found that the 2002 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle Fischer was driving eastbound on Pasadena Road failed to negotiate the curve at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard, left the road and fell on its side. Fischer was thrown from the motorcycle when the tires hit loose dirt on the shoulder of the road, he said.
