Manchester Woman Tried To Burglarize Neighbor's Home, Police Say

Jamie Gallo, 31, also was charged with stealing jewelry and cell phones from a member of her household, police said.

A Manchester woman faces burglary, theft and drug charges after an alert resident saw her trying to climb in the window of a neighbor’s home and called the police, authorities said.

Jamie Gallo, 31, of the Pine Lake Park section, also was charged with stealing items from a member of the household where she lives, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said.

Police were called to Second Avenue in the Pine Lake Park section about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday by a resident who reported seeing a woman trying to climb into a home on that street through a first-story window. However, police learned the woman fell from the window and walked away from the house before police arrived, Manco said.

Manchester Detective Adam Guker, Patrolman Richard Conklin and Patrolman Michael Steffen began searching the neighborhood, and during the search were told that the woman who had been seen was Gallo, and that she lived not far from the home that had been burglarized, Manco said.

Gallo was arrested at her home. While police were at her home, a member of the household reported that items including jewelry and two cell phones had been stolen, and he told police he believed Gallo was responsible. Manco said further investigation turned up several of the items reported stolen, as well as heroin and drug paraphernalia, in Gallo’s possession.
