Manchester's Hawaiian Night Dedicated To Maui Wildfire Victims

The Manchester Recreation Department will be collecting donations to assist the victims of the wildfires in Hawaii.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Recreation Department is inviting residents to the annual Hawaiian show, "A Night In Paradise," which will be dedicated to the victims of the wildfires that have devastated Maui.

The Hawaiian night is an annual event featuring hula dancers, a live luau band, Tahitian drummers and fire-knife warriors.

The Recreation Department issued a statement Friday saying: "In response to the wildfires in Maui County, Hawaii our Luau will be dedicated to the victims of this tragic event. At tonight's event, please consider making a donation to the Maui relief efforts if you are able to. And please remember the people of Maui in your prayers."

Details will be provided at the event, recreation officials said.

The show begins at 7 p.m. at Harry Wright Lake Park, on Harry Wright Park Road off Lake Road.

"The concession stand will be open and the ice cream man will be on site," officials said.
