More Evacuations Ordered Due To Wildfire In Manchester

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for residents in part of Whiting.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in Manchester Township by Manchester emergency management officials.

Residents of Beckerville Road, Horicon Road, Horicon Drive and Horicon Avenue in the Whiting section have been ordered to evacuate immediately, Manchester authorities said in alerts by text message and robocall.

Evacuees should go to Manchester Township High School on South Colonial Drive.

Those evacuations were in addition to an evacuation order to Lakehurst residents who live north of Route 70, and those who live between Division Street and Myrtle Avenue.
