New Preschool Program Applications Available Aug. 1-15

10 non-disabled students will be selected by lottery for this half-day preschool inclusion program at Ridgeway School.

The Manchester Township School District will have a half-day integrated preschool program that will be opened to a limited number of non-disabled children who have attained the age of 4 on or before October 1, 2013.  This program is designed to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to be included with non-disabled peers (10).

Applications for the program may be picked up at the Board of Education Office, 121 Route 539, Whiting, NJ between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. August 1 – 15 (Monday – Thursday) and must be returned by August 15, 2013.  You must bring your child’s state issued birth certificate and proof of residency.  Ten students will be selected in a lottery system on August 19, 2013.

Time:  2 ½ hours (12:30 – 3:00)

Children’s Age:  4 on or before October 1, 2013

Transportation:  Included

Limitations:  Must be bathroom trained

Selection Date:  August 19, 2013

Start Date:  9/4/13

Classroom Staff:  1 certified teacher, 2 aides, 1 speech/language specialist
