Man Accused Of Distributing CBD Oil Vape Cartridges: Lakehurst PD
Lakehurst police pulled the man over because he wasn't wearing a seat belt and an ensuing investigation cartridges, they said.

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Lacey Township man is facing drug distribution charges after police found multiple cartridges for a vape pen that were filled with a marijuana derivative, police said Thursday.
James M. Moriarty Jr., 34, of Forked River, was pulled over Tuesday afternoon in Lakehurst when Police Officer Harold Hester saw Moriarity was not wearing his seat belt and that the windshield of his silver minivan was cracked, Lakehurst Police Officer Robert Schroeck said.
The on-scene investigation by Hester and Officer Jason Guide led to a search of the minivan that turned up multiple individually packaged cartridges containing suspected cannabidiol (CBD) and a vape pen containing suspected tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). There was additional evidence discovered that suggests the items were being sold, Schroeck said.

Moriarty has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a summons for those charges. He additionally was ticketed for possession of a cntrolled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt and obstruction of view. and released pending a mandatory court appearance with the Ocean County Superior Court.
