Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on October 20, 2021, the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, J.S.C., ordered that Dandre Tubbs, 33, of Manchester, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial on the charge of Strict Liability Drug Induced Death in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-9a, relative to the death of a 35 year-old male in Manchester on August 16, 2021. Tubbs was previously charged on August 19, 2021, with three counts of Distribution of Heroin in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); two counts of Possession of Heroin in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Alprazolam in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-6a; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2a.

Tubbs has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since he was arrested on the aforementioned charges on August 19, 2021.  The detention hearing was handled by Assistant Prosecutor Lynn Juan.
