One Hurt When Car Flips, Flies, Slides 320 Feet On Route 37
Manchester police said the car came to a stop 320 feet west of the initial impact at Colonial Drive.
One person was seriously injured when a car hit the concrete divider on Route 37 and flipped, went airborne and then slid 320 feet late Saturday evening, Manchester police said Sunday.
Eric Larson, 21, of Jackson, was westbound on Route 37 about 11 p.m. Saturday in a silver 2012 Chevrolet Impala when the car failed to maintain its lane and hit the concrete divider head-on at the Colonial Drive intersection, Manchester Township Police Capt. Todd Malland said.
The impact caused the car to go airborne, Malland said, and it crossed over the divider and traveled about 70 feet, flipping onto its passenger side and then rolling onto its roof in the eastbound lanes of Route 37, before it finally slid to a stop. The car traveled 320 feet west from where it hit the divider, Malland said.
