Pair Charged With Heroin Distribution In Manchester
Point Pleasant woman, Toms River man had 94 bags of heroin in car, police said
A Point Pleasant woman and a Toms River man were charged Wednesday with heroin distribution after Manchester Township police found 94 bags of the drug in their car, police said Thursday.
Patricia Sholander, 22, of Howe Street, Point Pleasant, and Brian Price, 24, of Spanish Wells Road in Toms River, are being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, after their arrests Wednesday, Capt. Lisa Parker said.
Sholander and Price were in a Mercedes Benz on Route 571 near Route 547 when police pulled the car over, Parker said. During the motor vehicle stop, an investigation found 94 bags of heroin, with a street value of $940, concealed in the vehicle.

Sholander and Price were charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes, Parker said. Sholander’s bail was set at $10,000, with a 10 percent option and Price’s bail was set at $20,000 with a 10 percent option, she said.
Leading the investigation were Sgt. James Komsa, Patrolman Peter Manco and Patrolman Christian Nazario of the Manchester Township Police. They were assisted by Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Officer James Kohout.
