Parade Of Lights To Kick Off Tree Lighting In Manchester

Township Recreation Department brings back house decorating contest, too

The Manchester Township Recreation Department is looking to make the start of the holiday season a little more festive in town. And a whole lot brighter.

The department is inviting residents to decorate their cars, trucks or other vehicles with Christmas lights for a Parade of Lights to kick off the township’s tree-lighting celebration this Friday evening. The tree lighting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in front of the courthouse entrance to the municipal building.

“The more lights, the merrier!” the announcement of the parade notes. A prize will be given for the best show of lights. If you plan to participate, call the Recreation Department at 732-657-8121 ext. 5103.
