The rain held off long enough for Santa to arrive
With music to warm hearts, the Manchester Township Holiday tree lighting brightened the night on Friday, as dozens of township residents gathered in front of Town Hall for the event.
Members of the Manchester Township High School Marching Band played Christmas tunes, vocalists Sheryl Claus and Cassidy Gobel sang favorite holiday tunes and members of the local Cub Scout Pack 44 led the crowd in singing ”Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
After Santa arrived by firetruck, children and adults alike filed into the recreation center for hot chocolate, crafts and photos with the jolly old elf.
