UPDATE: Power Restored In Manchester's Leisure Village West

UPDATE: Power to all of the affected homes in Leisure Village West was restored by about 5 p.m., according to Nixle alerts from the Manchester police department.

About 100 homes had power back by 2 p.m., with the remainder restored later.

PREVIOUSLY:

A power outage is affecting 264 homes in Leisure Village West, Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting, according to a Nixle alert from the Manchester Township Police Department.

The cause of the outage is not known, but the alert said JCP&L crews are on scene working to restore power.

The power outage information site of FirstEnergy, the parent company of JCP&L, says additional crews have been requested, and is estimating power will be restored about 1 p.m.
