Route 37 Crash Knocks Out Power To Over 6,400 Manchester Homes
The crash at Route 37 and Commonwealth Boulevard brought down wires, police said.
MANCHESTER, NJ — A crash Friday night on Route 37 knocked out power to more than 6,900 homes in Manchester and Toms River, authorities said.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said in an alert that the crash happened at the intersection of Route 37 and Commonwealth Boulevard.
Manchester Township police said the crash brought down wires and repairs were estimated to take several hours. It did not give any additional details.

Jersey Central Power & Light's outage website said 6,449 homes in Manchester and 529 in Toms River were without power, and the computer-generated estimate was power would be restored by 11:30 p.m.
