Route 70 Closed In Manchester After Vehicle Overturns
Authorities say the vehicle took down utility poles and wires; the road is closed in both directions.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Route 70 is closed at Beckerville Road in Manchester after a vehicle overturned, bringing down poles and wires, authorities said.
The road is closed in both directions, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said in a tweet.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office also was urging motorists to avoid the area. Detours are in place. It was unclear how long the closure is anticipated to last.

Beckerville Road is just west of the Lakehurst circle.
(Update: The state Department of Transportation said the vehicle was tractor-trailer but it was a passenger vehicle, according to Manchester police. This article has been updated accordingly.)
