School Budget Hearing Set In Manchester

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Board of Education is set to hold the public hearing on its budget Wednesday evening.
The budget is slated to include an increase in state funding for the first time in years. Manchester is set to receive $5,372,064 in state aid for 2023-24, an increase of $270,031, or 5.29 percent, over what the district received in 2021-22.
The meeting includes an executive session at 6 p.m. with the public portion of the meeting set for 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at Manchester Township Middle School, 2759 Ridgeway Road.

Business administrator Craig Lorentzen, at the March 15 meeting, said the increase in state aid was a welcome change because of the increase in costs across the board.
