Shop In Manchester, Earn Property Tax Rebates
The town kicked off the Shop Manchester program in October and it includes a number of locally owned restaurants.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township is urging residents to take advantage of the Shop Manchester program, where local businesses offer rebates that help reduce property taxes.
The program, approved in September and kicked off in October, allows residents enrolled in the program to present a card at participating businesses that have agreed to offer a rebate that gets credited to their third-quarter property tax bill.
"Shop Manchester is a partnership between the Manchester Township and the local business community that gives residents the opportunity to earn rebates on their property taxes by shopping locally at participating businesses," the township website notes.

"Participating merchants offer a rebate to residents who have enrolled in the program. When residents shop or dine at those establishments and present their “Shop Manchester” card, the resident will pay the full amount and have the rebate applied to their property taxes," the township says.
Renters may also participate in the program, receiving a cash rebate rather than property tax rebate.

“’Shop Manchester’ is an exciting program since it puts money back in our residents’ wallets while encouraging them to support our local business community. This program, which is operated at no cost to the taxpayer, has found great success in other nearby towns, and we’re confident it will benefit Manchester Township as well,” said Maureen Kumitis, director of the township’s Purchasing Division.
The town has a list of participating merchants that include several local restaurants, an auto body shop, and more. Click here for the current list of participating merchants. Merchants interested in participating, please contact FinCredit, the program administrator at 732 946-0919 for assistance.
Residents can get cards from the Manchester Township Purchasing Division at 732-657-8121, ext. 3500 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cards must be registered online to ensure rebates are properly credited. Click here to register your “Shop Manchester” card.
