Thousands In Scholarships Offered To Manchester High School Seniors

The scholarship program is run by the Manchester Township Education Foundation.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Education Foundation has announced that its annual scholarship awards program is accepting applications from Manchester Township High School seniors.

The scholarship program awarded more than $17,000 in funds to students in 2016 to help them further their educations.

The application deadline is April 1, 2017. The scholarships are funded with assistance from business and community partners, the MTEF said.

The scholarships are as follows:

The Charles J. Hesse III Memorial Scholarship — $2,500 per year for four years to a student attending a 4-year college or university ($10,000 total award). [details]

The MTEF Dr. William E. DeFeo Scholarship — $1,000 to a student attending a 2- or 4-year college or other post-secondary school. [details]

The Crestwood Village IV Senior Citizens Club Scholarship — four $500 awards (2 female, 2 male) with preference for those attending a 2 or 4 year college. [details]

The Lakehurst-Manchester Lions Club Scholarship — one $500 award to a student attending a 2 or 4 year college. [details]

The WWII Veteran Walter A. Moderack Scholarship — one $1,000 award to a student attending a 2 or 4 year college with preference to an ROTC student.[details]

The River Pointe Women's Club Scholarship — one $1,000 award to a female student and one $1,000 award to a male student attending a 2 or 4 year college.[details]

The River Pointe Men's Club Scholarship — one $500 award to a female student and one $500 award to a male student attending a 2 or 4 year college. [details]

The Nicole Denise Romanelli Memorial Scholarship — $1,000 to a female pursuing medical career. [details]

NEW! The Vietnam Veteran Walter B. Moderack Memorial Scholarship — one $500 award to a student attending a 2 or 4 year college with preference to an ROTC student. [details]

The application can be downloaded by clicking here. It must be saved to the applicant's computer, filled out completely, saved again, and then emailed as an attachment to scholarships@mtef4kids.org.
