Tractor Trailer Jack-Knifes, Fuel Spills On Pasadena Road: Manchester Police
The truck failed to negotiate a curve in the road, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A tractor trailer that jack-knifed and ran off the road blocked part of Pasadena Drive Monday morning but there were no injuries in the crash, Manchester police said.
David Bustos-Barreto, 52, of Phillipsburg, was headed west on Pasadena Road about 8:40 a.m. in a 1999 red Volvo tractor trailer when he lost control of the truck as it rounded a curve, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.
That caused the trailer to jack-knife and make contact with the cab of the truck, Malland said. The truck ran off the road and struck a metal roadway marker, which severed a fuel hose, he said. Bustos-Barreto was able to move the truck onto the shoulder before the police arrive, but the road had to be partially closed in the area of Lincoln Road and a detour was set up while emergency workers addressed the fuel spill, he said.
