Training At Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Causing Booms
The rumbles and booms you may be hearing Friday could continue through the weekend, the base said.

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ — Training sessions underway at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on Friday are causing some rumbles in neighboring towns, and base officials said the rumbles could continue through the weekend.
In a post on Facebook Thursday, base officials said soldiers from the Pennsylvania National Guard, as well as other units, are conducting training on light and heavy arms. The training began Thursday and officials said it could potentially last through Sunday.
"Please note that sound may travel further or seem louder than normal during cloudy or overcast weather! Thank you for your unwavering support, cooperation and understanding as we train our nation's fighting force!" the post said.
