Unexpired Manchester Council Term On November Ballot: Here's How You Can Run

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township residents who would like to run for a one-year term on the Township Council will be able to pick up candidate petitions beginning June 12, the Manchester Township Clerk's Office announced.

The position is the final year of the council term vacated by Samuel Fusaro, who resigned in February when he moved out of Manchester. Councilman Craig Wallis was appointed to fill the council seat for the remainder of 2023.

Voting for the one-year term will be included on the Nov. 7 general election ballot.

Manchester Township operates under a nonpartisan mayor-council government structure.

The term Fusaro vacated expires Dec. 31, 2024, so the seat will be up for election in 2024 as well.

The deadline for filing petitions is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
