Water Line Work Closes Road On Joint Base MDL Beginning Aug. 29

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ — Water line construction will close part of Maryland Avenue on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst beginning August 29.

The road will be closed between Fort Dix Road and First Street West for two to five days, the joint base said.

Drivers will be directed the following routes:

Pemberton Wrightstown Road to New Jersey Avenue, or Pennsylvania Avenue to 1st Street Northwest.

First Street West to New Jersey Avenue, or Pennsylvania Avenue to Pemberton Wrightstown Road.

Pennsylvania Avenue remains closed to through traffic due to construction, the joint base said. Alternate routes are New Jersey Avenue and Delaware Avenue.

"Drivers should look for and comply with all detour and other notification signs, and should always exercise extra caution when in the vicinity of any construction project due to the presence of heavy construction equipment and changing traffic patterns," the joint base said.
