This Week In Manchester: Bonfire, Drug/Alcohol Talk For Parents, Council Meeting

Events in Manchester this week

It’s a short work week for some folks but here are a few things happening this week:

Tonight at 6, parents of Manchester high school and middle school students are invited to a workshop on how to talk to your children about drug and alcohol abuse. The “15-Minute Child Break” presentation is at the high school media center.

Also tonight at 6, the Township Council meets at the municipal building. Items on the agenda include the second reading of an ordinance repealing the township’s policy on supplemental sick leave; the second reading of one tightening the rules for towing companies and the first reading of an ordinance significantly revising the township’s recreation rules.

On Wednesday, the Manchester Recreation Department is hosting a bonfire and chili cook-off at the football and cheer complex on Route 571. It begins at 7 p.m. and includes music as well as the chili.
